Garlic and Olive Bread


  • 250g plain flour
  • 1tsp salt
  • 1/2tsp sugar
  • 1tsp yeast
  • 150ml warm water
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 10g pitted black olives
  • 1tsp garlic puree


​Add flour, salt, sugar and yeast into a large mixing bowl, and mix well.

Slice olives and add into the mixture along with the garlic.

Using your fingers, make a well in the mixture and add the water and oil.

Use a fork to mix until a sticky dough is formed.

On a lightly floured surface, kneed the dough for 8-10 minutes.

Put the dough in a bowl, cover with a towel and leave in a warm place to prove for 45-60 minutes.

Preheat the oven at 230C.

Put the bread into a baking tin and cook for 10-15 minutes.
