Poached Pears with Raspberry Sauce

Poached Pears with Raspberry Sauce


  • 4 pears
  • 1 punnet of raspberries
  • 50ml water


Cut off the end of the pears and peel them. Slice them length-ways into quarters.

Juice the oranges and add the juice and water into a saucepan, stirring well.

Once the liquid begins to bubble, add the pear quarters and place the lid on the pan.

Simmer for 10-15 minutes on a low heat until the pears are soft.

Blend the raspberries into a smooth sauce.

Plate up the pears and drizzle the raspberry sauce over the top.
