In a large pan saute the red onion until soft. Add the garlic and stir well.
Add the diced carrot into the pan, stirring well and heat for 5 minutes.
Add the red lentils, vegetable stock and 350ml of water, bring to the boil and then simmer for 30 minutes until the lentils are soft.
Mix in the five bean salad and simmer for a further 5 minutes.
Cook the pasta as per packet instructions.
Add the cooked pasta into the mixture and serve.
