Steak and Onion Casserole with Mashed Potato

Ingredients:

  • 565g beef braising steak, cubed
  • 180g carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 45g plain flour
  • 2 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion
  • 450g potatoes
  • 300ml beef stock

Method:

Preheat oven at 180°C

Gently fry the beef in a large pan until the beef has turned a light brown. Add the onions, flour and diced carrots and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Add the beef stock into the saucepan and stir.

Transfer ingredients into a casserole dish and cook in the oven for 2 hours.

Boil potatoes until tender and mash.
